Overview of Classes
Divine Balance Yoga offers a variety of classes, from beginner to advanced, from overall body to concentration on body parts.
Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) is a technique that ‘educates’ the body’s muscles, creating space in the muscles and joints. Using small balls (3-10 inches) It works with the body’s natural energy pathways by releasing muscles, old restrictive patterns and deeply stimulating the nervous system. The results are greater range of motion and increased energy and strength.
Yoga is the base from which Body Rolling was invented. The physical form of Asana or Postures in Yoga were developed to strengthen, align, balance and energize the body. By using breath and sound the release and movement of energy is then part of this healing system. Yoga when combined with Body rolling offers a fuller format to open the tight areas in the body and to strengthen the loose areas to further align and balance for ease and comfort in everyday life.
Weekly Classes are for students interested in learning basic Yoga and Body Rolling routines combining ancient Yoga techniques, YBR theory and equipment. Deep releases of stress, past injuries and restrictive patterns occur when working the body in its entirety. Workshops offer intensive half and one-day total body workouts with focus on particular areas of the body such as Feet, Knees, Legs, Pelvis, Spine, Shoulders, Arms and Hands. See more information below on specialized workshop events.
Certification Courses such as Yamuna Body Rolling teacher trainings are also offered by Taylore Carre. The Phase 1 certification also known as ‘Experiential Anatomy’, is appropriate for both serious students and Teacher/ trainers to commence education toward completing YBR certification. Phase 2 Yamuna Body Rolling Teacher training is offered annually in the Vancouver studio. It is a 7 day intensive and can be taken in one or two parts.
Electromagnetic Radiation workshopsare now available to educate and inform those interested in learning more about the safety and hazards we deal with in our environment and homes with technology. Taylore offers basic common sense information and guidance on creating a safer environment as well as resources to utilize to both educate and ensure greater ease in our bodies.
Class preparation/Equipment: All equipment is supplied to you for the classes. Equipment is available for sale for home use, as well. Be comfortable in your attire; wear close fitting clothes as bulky T-shirts or sweatshirts get caught on the balls. If you have long hair, it is best to wear it tied up.
